US-Middle East Partnership: Breast Cancer Awareness and Research

The U.S.-Middle East Partnership for Breast Cancer Awareness and Research is a model public-private effort that unites local champions in the United States, the Middle East, and North Africa who are leading the fight against breast cancer. The aim is to increase early detection of breast cancer and reduce mortality through improved awareness, increased clinical resources, and world-class research.

Communities of Practice Roundtable: Introduction of the U.S.-Middle East Partnership into Morocco

The U.S.-Middle East Partnership held its first Community of Practice Roundtable on June 23 at Le Royal Mansour Méridien Hotel in Casablanca, Morocco to introduce the Partnership to a diverse group of stakeholders dedicated to women's health. More than 35 advocates and health professionals representing 20 organizations attended. Participants included advocates, medical professionals, and breast cancer survivors from urban and rural areas, including Oujda, Fes, and Marrakesh. The Partnership's new local coordinator and strategic advisor for Morocco, Rabia El Alama, moderated the event.
